Console gamers are getting plenty of new content to relish on both the Xbox and Playstation versions of Minecraft pe mods now. Kicking off the firstly many announcements, the state Playstation blog revealed on April 27 that The Simpsons skin pack will probably be released on Playstation consoles today. The DLC, featuring licensed characters from the popular cartoon, was once made available to Xbox owners which is now finally visiting Sony platforms.
As the name suggests, the 1.6 update adds horses to Minecraft in addition to donkeys and mules plus horse armor and leads required to keep the animals as well as other mobs from wandering around. One thing to bear in mind using the horse armor though is that it could only be seen in loot chests found in dungeons, Nether fortresses, abandoned mineshafts and desert temples. Hay bales have been added like a new craftable item at the same time because you can't have horses without hay.
4J Studios has admitted to fans that they will constantly attempt to increase Minecraft's overall world size for the Xbox One and Playstation 4 later on title updates, however it is unlikely that this console games will ever actually see infinite worlds. Even though endless map generation is going to the simpler mobile version with the game, the developer of Minecraft's console ports still claims that a real feature isn't possible on new-gen systems inspite of the platforms' superior hardware.

Since its initial launch a couple of years ago, 4J Studios has since released the game about the Playstation 3 also. This year will also mark the game's release on PS4, Xbox One, and PS Vita.
